Family Involvement
We consider the parents and families of our students a very important part of each Spiritus Sanctus Academy.
We strive to promote active parent involvement in support of the mission of the SSA schools. We see parents in close partnership and encourage positive home and school relations, such as Daily Mass, First Friday Adoration, Lunch Service, School Committees, Family Catechesis, Family Days and many other special events.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are many different ways in which parents contribute their time and talents to the success of the schools. Helping with lunch service, field trips, sports teams and organizing school-wide events are some of the ways parents get involved, but there are many others depending on the skills and time parents have to offer.
Holy Family Catechesis
Recognizing that the parents are the primary educators of their children, the mission of the Holy Family Catechesis is to provide an opportunity for the parents of SSA to study their Catholic Faith more fully. This study is accomplished primarily through the use of Sacred Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, a great gift from the Universal Church in our age for learning, defending, and delving more deeply into the riches of our Catholic Faith.
Various knowledgeable speakers may be invited on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to enrich our knowledge and understanding of our readings and discussions. Various study groups and additional resources may also be made available at Spiritus Sanctus Academy.
Fundraising
The families of Spiritus Sanctus Academy have been the beneficiaries of generous contributions and grants. However, to be good stewards of our resources and secure financial stability, we ask that each family participate in various fundraising options in order to reach a set monetary goal. The options include but are not limited to the following: Scrip program; skate-a-thon; gift-wrap; auction; subscription sales.
